Senior Art Director, Amazon Devices Brand Studio | 2023-Current
Art direction and visual design for Amazon Devices Brand Studio. Developed marketing materials rich in storytelling for the first ever Kindle Colorsoft, Echo, Fire TV, Fire tablets, and emerging devices. Led end-to-end creative development for product launch campaigns, including concepting, resourcing, stakeholder communication, and execution—aligning cross-functional teams and managing timelines, reviews, and approvals.
Managed and mentored a team of visual and production designers, ensuring design excellence at all levels. Successfully leveraged data and insights to deliver creative steeped in both brand vision and strategic thinking. Drove alignment of aspirational campaigns at executive leadership level through articulate communication, comfort in debate, iteration, and rapid implementation of feedback. Visual designer, Amazon Devices Brand Studio | 2021-2023
Visual design for Amazon Devices Brand Studio. Delivered cohesive creative assets, for nearly all product lines across Amazon Devices, for seasonal campaigns, product launches, testing and evergreen initiatives. Worked closely with creative directors, project managers, and go-to-market leads to develop quality, bar-raising visuals for on and off site placements. Highlighted unique device attributes through nuanced design treatments, considerate of both sub-brand style guides and Amazon’s parent brand.
Designer, Starbucks Stories | 2019-2021
Design, art direction, branding, illustration and visual communications for Starbucks Stories, a team within Starbucks Global Public Affairs specializing in storytelling and communications for Starbucks customers and employees. Responsible for developing assets to support coffee, social impact, diversity and inclusion, equity, sustainability and community impact campaigns. Deliverables included print, digital and social assets.
Siren Retail Design and Communication Specialist | 2017–2019
Design and communications for Starbucks Reserve Roastery & Princi (“Siren Retail”) materials. Developed a visual system for Ops Excellence tools with consideration to audience, messaging, brand voice, functionality and cohesiveness across sub-brands. Managed updates, organization, and distribution of both print and digital placements. Lead internal communications while adapting to the unique demands of business cycles (timing, volume and version control) from conceptualization, launch, continuous improvement and through to sustainment.
Starbucks Research and Development Specialist, Handcrafted Lab | 2016
Supported the creation of seasonal beverages for Starbucks, North America. Developed beverages within existing constructs and operational standards while being creative, prepared and presentation beverage concepts to leadership, and worked in cross-functional lab environment. Claim to fame is the Iced Cinnamon Almondmilk Macchiato, an hortacha-inspired drink, which launched in stores across the United States and Canada in Summer of 2017!
